Although not common today, magneto’s were very common and well build in the early part of the last century.? In as much as some are still available at a fair price, this plan set shows how to use the parts of the magneto, and other “junk” parts to create a small air compressor.? About 25 psi. @ 6 cf. is possible with this little unit.
The plan is well laid out with a full diagram, and text.? The plan is general enough to not be dependent on any specific brand of magneto, but specific enough to show you how to create a fully functional home built air compressor.
A fantastic project for someone with good metal crafting and machining skills, and a truly novel machine to own, use, and display.
